Dear Walker,

Write a letter to yourself describing how you ideally imagine your life, career, etc. in 10 years. Then keep the letter and read it in 10 years and see how your life turned out versus how you imagined it.”

Hello Walker this is your past self here writing to you to make sure that you are on track for our life by now. In ten years you better have your own house by now and working on paying it off. I truly do not care where you live just as long as we have our own house, it is nice, and you are working on paying it off. On the career side of it, it would be nice to have a leadership role in something to do with law enforcement. This could be local law enforcement or federal law enforcement. The main goal is for you to have some sort of leadership role, that is it. I truly think that you can handle that. Now on to the family side of things. You better talk to your family each and every day. I do not care what kind of communication, but there better be some type. You should be starting on your own family by now too. I expect just a few kids, a wife, and maybe even a dog. Never forget your true self, but also like Bob Ross always says don’t forget that being yourself is beautiful. Also you should not form to anyones’ standards but your own. You need to continue digging into your creative side and pushing yourself to step outside the box. Ross always preaches creativity and being different as an individual. Listen to that and use it.

  1. I love how you used this letter to your future self as a checklist reminder of what you want to have accomplished or want to be working on accomplishing by then. It would be cool if you looked back at this letter ten years from now to see what you have and haven’t done in your letter.
